Located within Santa Monica’s Gateway Hotel, Socalo is a beachy, all-day California canteen and Mexican pub from award-winning chef/owners Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken.
Socalo serves conscientiously-sourced, seasonal SoCal Mexican fare with quick counter service at breakfast and lunch daily while dinner shifts to full-service dining alongside cocktails featuring small-batch spirits, craft beers on tap and Mexican wines.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
Socalo is a zero foodprint restaurant and uses organic rice, beans, and corn tortillas; seasonal, local ingredients; antibiotic/hormone-free meats and poultry; and sustainable seafood. As a zero foodprint restaurant, we donate 1% of all sales to Restore California to offset our carbon impact by supporting climate beneficial farming practices.
